"Can it be true? To hear a new story of the Dread Pirate... it is an honor!"

Tuco takes out a stringed instrument. "Feel free to join along. Personally, I say any story should have a proper soundtrack, you hear?" The other Rocks nod as they start to take out instruments of their own - percussion, horns, wind.

"Any thoughts on a track we could play?" The other storyteller asks.

"I was thinkin', something similar to 'The Rupture of Delta Gorno'? Sound good?" The others nod their heads in agreement. "One, two, three, four." The rocks begin to play their instruments, and the SSLG clap along. "My friends, the Hive, she knows no depth to her voracious appetite. That queen, those insects... they'll fight for anything they can get their sharp little legs on, and stab anyone they need to keep it. Many 'a Rock has become one of their slaves toiling away in the mines of Viiikaliraaako. Anyone?"

"A sister." One of the Rocks working a bongo mutters gruffly.

"A sister. Being forced to create wealth for a tyrannical queen bug. Oh, the wealth of those awful mines. And does the Hive deserve a smidgen of it?"

"No!!"

"No! Of course not, so I'll tell you what I did. Me and my crew, we took my good ol' dusty cruiser and I thought I'd teach 'em a lesson. Once a week, they load up all that filthy lucre into a convoy and send it back to their nest. Well, I'm no stranger to a risky strategy, so I'll tell you what I did. My friends had come into possession of a fancy Union transport. All we had to do was make them think it was full of useful and talented slaves. Once they had come within a jump of it, we activated its distress call and waited. Like clockwork, two of the Suzerains peeled off to investigate. Right into the minefield we'd left for them. That left only two of them versus my one, single ship. But you all know me, that's more than a fair fight as far as I'm concerned! We fended off those Mantises, two to one! The battle was glorious... and the treasure was all ours!"

"What did you do with the bounty?"

Tuco stops strumming. "Well... gambling and drinking, mostly." The crowd gives a raucous laughter.

"That's our Tuco!"
"C'est pas vrai ? Entendre une nouvelle histoire du Pirate d’'Effroi... c’'est un honneur !"

Tuco sort un instrument à cordes. "N’'hésitez pas à vous joindre à nous. Personnellement, je dis que toute histoire devrait avoir une bande sonore appropriée, vous entendez ?" Les autres Rocailleux hochent la tête alors qu’'ils commencent à sortir leurs propres instruments - percussions, cors, vent.

"Des idées d'un morceau que nous pourrions jouer ?" demande l’'autre conteur.

"Je pensais à quelque chose de similaire à 'La Rupture de Delta Gorno'? Ça sonne bien ?" Les autres hochent la tête en accord. "Un, deux, trois, quatre." Les Rocailleux commencent à jouer de leurs instruments, et le Libérateur applaudit. "Mes amis, la Ruche, elle ne connaît pas la profondeur de son appétit vorace. Cette reine, ces insectes... ils se battront pour tout ce qu’'ils peuvent obtenir leurs petites jambes pointues, et poignarder tous ceux dont ils ont besoin pour le garder. Beaucoup de Rocailleux sont devenus leurs esclaves, travaillant loin dans les mines de Viiikaliraaako. Quelqu’'un ?

"Une soeur." S'exclame l’'un des Rocailleux jouant d'un bongo.

"Une sœur. Être obligée de créer de la richesse pour une reine tyrannique. Oh, la richesse de ces mines horribles. Et la Ruche en mérite-t-elle un peu ?"

" Non ! bien sûr que non, alors je vais vous dire ce que j’'ai fait. Moi et mon équipage, nous avons pris mon bon vieux croiseur poussiéreux et j’'ai pensé leur donner une leçon. Une fois par semaine, ils chargent toute cette saleté dans un convoi et le renvoient à leur nid. Eh bien, je ne suis pas étranger à une stratégie risquée, alors je vais vous dire ce que j’'ai fait. Mes amis étaient entrés en possession d’'un transport Union chic. Il suffisait de leur faire croire que c’'était plein d’'esclaves utiles et talentueux. Une fois qu’'ils étaient arrivés à un saut de celui-ci, nous avons activé son appel de détresse et avons attendu. Comme une horloge, deux des Suzerains se sont retirés pour enquêter. Directement dans le champ de mines que nous avions laissé pour eux. Il ne restait que deux d’'entre eux par rapport à mon seul et unique vaisseau. Mais vous me connaissez tous, c’'est plus qu’'un combat équitable en ce qui me concerne ! Nous avons repoussé ces Mantis, deux contre un ! La bataille était glorieuse... et le trésor était à nous !

"Qu’'avez-vous fait de la prime ?"

Tuco arrête de gratter. "Eh bien... jouer et boire, la plupart du temps." La foule donne un rire rauque.

"Ça c’'est notre Tuco !"

The Dread Pirate Tuco, true to what the Outcast claims, is not so much a singular person but rather a title. The original Tuco for which the moniker was derived lived during the days of the archaic Rock-Crystal Empire and fought against Toarde and the other 4 Rock Elders during the collapse of the Empire. While Tuco's side inevitably lost and the Theocracy rose from the ashes of that war, stories of the ventures of Tuco continued to be shared by Rock school-children even after the Elders forbade them from being told. Several Rockmen have picked up the title of Tuco since then, giving the name even more infamy and immortality. The current holder of the title is believed to once have been known as Rowbad, and currently works as a bodyguard for Ocym, the Aquarian co-founder of the Argeonn smuggler clan.
Le Redoutable Pirate Tuco, si l'on en croit les Exilés, n'est pas vraiment une personne spécifique mais plutôt un titre. Le Tuco original, dont le surnom était dérivé, vivait durant l'âge archaïque de l'empire Rock-Cryistal et a combattu contre Toarde et les 4 Sages Rocailleux durant la chute de l'empire. Bien que le camp de Tuco ait inévitablement perdu et que la théocratie se relevait de ses cendres, les histoires des aventures de Tuco continuait à être partager par les écolier Rocailleux et ce même bien après que les Sages interdirent de les raconter. Plusieurs Rocailleux avaient portés le titre de Tuco depuis lors, accroissant encore plus l'infamie et l'immortalité de celui-ci. Le tenant actuel du titre était autrefois connu sous le nom de Rowbad et travail pour le moment pour Ocym, le cofondateur Aquarien du clan de contrebandier Argeonn.
